On Thursday December 5th we spent a beautiful winter day with the Spanish-speaking ladies of the Asociacion de Mujeres de Hable Hispana (AMHH) at the Hong Kong Container Port.

All of us gathered at the Central Ferry Piers early that morning where the tour bus was ready to take us to the Kwai Chung Container Port and started with a guided tour through the main building of Hong Kong International Terminals. Though the port is a controlled area, we had the opportunity of going inside the terminal and got a great insight into the port and its operations and even visited the control tower. We also had the privilege to actually drive through the container terminal and have a glance at the huge vessels and stacks of steamship containers.

Afterwards, we had a fantastic and relaxing lunch at the Beas River Country Club of the Hong Kong Jockey Club in Sheung Shui, New Territories. After lunch, we rounded up the afternoon with a walk through the stables and had a close-encounter with the horses that used to race at Happy Valley and Shatin race courses.

Thank you ladies for this great day, we had an amazing time with you !
