On Friday, March 18th Asian Express organized a tour of the Hong Kong International Terminals for the American Women's Association (AWA). Hong Kong is currently the 5th busiest container port in the world and a delightful group showed up for the visit to learn more about how the terminals are operated and run so efficiently in such a limited area of land. Despite waking up to a blanket of thick fog, luckily this lifted as the morning grew, enabling everyone to take close up pictures of the containers and container vessels that were currently berthed at the terminals.
After the tour of the Container Terminals, everyone was able to relax at the Hong Kong Jockey Club in Fanling for lunch before a tour of the facilities and stables. The horses were on good behavior and were pleased to have some extra company.
We would like to thank the AWA for allowing us to provide this tour for their members and are certain everybody went home learning something new.
