It is unfortunate that the explosion at the Xingang Port in Tianjin has affected all shipments coming into and out of China.

We understand the Customs building had been heavily impacted so while the container yard may be unaffected or somewhat isolated from the area of the explosion, it could take some time before Customs is functioning again resulting to port storage and demurrage charges incur on all shipments.

The pictures are the Customs building, and it's still very early in the accident to get any kind of good information on what is happening.
