AEMovers had cordially invited the French Welcoming Association HKAccueil for another visit of the Hong Kong Container port.

On a sunny Friday in November, we visited the main building of Hong Kong International Terminals with an enthusiastic group of French ladies and gentlemen. Our port guide Saul was greeted with many questions about the container port by our eager group. After a quick look into the control tower, we also had the chance to drive through the actual terminals which gave us a feel of the buzz inside the port and moreover, the dimensions of the machinery, container stacks and the container vessels.

Afterwards, we drove to the idyllic Beas River Country Club in Sheung Shui where we had a lunch in the sun and a tour of the horse stables with very close encounters with the former race horses.

On our way back home, we held our traditional quiz and the entire group demonstrated an excellent knowledge of the port, its operations and life in Hong Kong. Axelle, Beatrix and Marie-Pierre were fast to answer most of our quiz questions.
