Effective immediately, Shanghai Customs require ALL packages in the sea shipments of household goods and personal effects entering into Shanghai MUST be marked with the assignee’s FULL name (either in English or Chinese) which MUST be identical to the name on the Passport, Ocean Bill of Lading and all documents that will be used to process import Customs clearance.

If the FULL name does not match on the packages, Shanghai Customs will reject the application for import resulting to additional charges such as demurrage, extra handling and warehouse handling etc.
