Foster Children Move to Better Home - Thanks to AEMovers Beijing

AEMovers Beijing has volunteered to move Ping An Medical Foster Home to its new location at Riverside Apartments in Southeast Beijing. The move is scheduled for Wednesday, March 14th 2007.

"The new home is more spacious and comfortable for both the children and the caretakers who work there," says Teresa Woo, founder of Ping An Medical Foster Home. "The new home is still located in the city, giving us easy-access to nearby urban amenities, most importantly close proximity to hospitals. On the other hand, the apartment is strictly residential, creating a safer, less disruptive setting. Also, there are green lots and playgrounds for the benefit of our children."

Ping An Medical Foster Home aids Chinese orphans born with mild to serious physical handicaps who require medical attention that Beijing orphanages cannot provide. Since its establishment in August 2003, Ping An has helped over 100 children with diseases or disabilities. After Ping An care, most of the orphans are adopted by loving families.

Woo says that the backbone of the organization comes from community volunteers such as AEMovers: "We rely heavily on the volunteer efforts from all walks of the society. With their support, Ping An can paint a brighter future for the children under our roof."
